Lower Your Heart Disease Risk by Eating these types of Grains
A new study says that if you are eating refined grains then there is a probability of a higher risk for coronary artery disease.
During the refining process, most of the nutritional content has been removed. That's why it is better to avoid the intake of refined grains.
But if you are eating whole grains then this would give you nutritional benefits.
Nutritionists say that the nutrients removed — especially fiber — help protect the heart.
American college of cardiology middle East 2022 reports that eating more refined grains gives you a greater risk for premature coronary artery disease (PCAD).
PCAD can prompt chest agony or cardiovascular failure as the coronary conduit river or plaques crack and block blood stream.
How whole grains differ from refined grains
"Truly, entire grains contain all pieces of a wheat part (the grain, endosperm, and microorganism)," said Snashall.
The most common way of processing grains into white flour eliminates both the microorganism and wheat from the endosperm.
Why whole grains are better for heart health
Snashall said entire grains are generally better for your well-being since they contain more supplements, which include:
- fiber
- healthy fats
- vitamins
- minerals
- antioxidants
- phytochemicals
